Emergency Healthcare Assistance

Emergency Healthcare Assistance
This Program is offered for many uninsured and underinsured, low-income residents of Jackson and Vinton Counties, who are in crisis and in need of prescription medications, medical supplies, diagnostic testing, medical, dental and or optical treatment procedures, specialty consultations and/or transportation to medical and dental appointments.
Individuals determined to be eligible for services may receive assistance for up to $300.00 during the program year. We collaborate with many local pharmacies, medical supply vendors, transportation and medical/dental/optical providers, who have worked with our agency over the years and are willing to accept our vouchers and bill us for patient services. This program is provided through grants from CSBG and the J. Floyd Dixon Memorial Fund to help improve the quality of life for those we serve.
