JVCA Women, Infants & Children

This is a supplemental food program for women, infants and children.

This program provides nutrition education and food vouchers to pregnant, breast feeding and postpartum women, infants and children to five years of age. Eligibility is based on 185% of Federal Income Guidelines and nutritional risk. Clients are screened through height, weight, iron values, health histories and food frequencies.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, & Children

To get WIC benefits you must be:

*Pregnant
*Breastfeeding or
*Postpartum Woman
(Having a baby less than 6 months old)
*An Infant or Child up to 5 years old
*Live in the service area where you apply
*Fall within the income guidelines
* (All Managed Care Recipients are eligible even if
income exceeds the guidelines listed below as long
as the other program requirements are met.)
