JVCA
Health Services
Primary
Care Clinic
Our agency operates
a primary care clinic for clients of all ages in Jackson and Vinton Counties.
This program allows residents of these counties to receive adequate basic
health care. Medicaid, Medicare and many private insurances are accepted.
A sliding fee scale is offered for clients with no Insurance coverage.
Staff members prepare an income analysis for new clients and make appropriate
referrals to various inter-agency programs and outside agencies. Judith
Lubbers, M.D., Board Certified in Family Practice, serves as Medical Director
and provides physician services for the Health Clinic. Primary Care Clinic
hours are held on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments can be

Child
& Family Health Services
This program is provided through a grant from the Ohio Department of Health
in order to provide health related services for the maternal and child
population of Jackson County. Public & school-based health education
and screenings, transportation to medical & health related appointments,
free pregnancy testing, prenatal/preconception care coordination, and
enabling services are provided. Through this program, our Agency provides
many types of education including blood lead poisoning, sex and sexual
responsibility, teenage pregnancy prevention, prenatal and preconceptual
care, immunizations, dental health, communicable diseases and many others
related to maternal & child health issues.
Children's
Trust Fund
"Partners in Prevention" is a Jackson County CTF child abuse
and neglect prevention program which combats abuse and neglect before
it begins by targeting education for parents, service providers and the
community. The program also provides at-risk parents, referred to the
program, with education and support through a home visit format. Funding
is made possible through a grant from the Jackson County Family &
Children First Council. Referrals can be made by calling (740) 384-3722

Dental
Sealant Program
The purpose of the Dental Sealant Program is to assist providers of public
health services to improve access to dental sealants for high-risk children.
Our program targets second and sixth grade students in the Vinton County,
Wellston City, Jackson City, Oak Hill Union Local and Gallia County Schools.
Students, with parental permission, are screened by a Dentist and sealants
are placed by a Registered Dental Hygienist at no cost to the parents.
Services are provided through a grant from the Ohio Department of Health,
Bureau of Oral Health Services.
